Lucas Nguyen is a Queer Asian American Artist from the Midwest. They employ a multitude of fiber techniques such as weaving, crochet, dyeing, embroidery, sewing, felting, etc, to create a variety of fiber artworks. Also, they often consider the tactility and textures of their work, with the majority of work consisting of soft sculptures. The focus of their work is on the intersectionality of gender, race, and sexuality in their Queer Asian American Identity. They often utilize food as a lens into the way they dissect their identity, creating playful visuals while confronting serious topics in the Queer Asian American diaspora and experience.
