Shaza Umran (she/her) is a Syrian-born visual artist whose work explores memory, identity, and longing through the lens of personal migration. Working primarily with acrylic paint and found materials, she draws inspiration from her lived experience and the natural world to create imagined narratives that reflect the evolving nature of the self. Her practice is a meditation on adaptation and a search for wholeness. She lives and works in Kansas City, MO.
