Artist Statement

I’m a fashion designer and illustrator who works in traditional mediums like pencils, pens, and markers. I’m mostly self-taught and based my style on comic book, manga, animation, fantasy, and historical fiction influences. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design and work full time in bridal alterations. Professionally, I reconstruct gowns, make patterns, sew mock-up designs, drape various fabrics, and embellish with beading. I am not a designer so the aspects of creativity are very limited, but I have 6+ years of experience with altering a variety of special occasion gowns. I enjoy designing cosplays and fan art, but I don’t have the time, energy, or financial support to turn art into my full time career.
