Ken Nguyen is a first-generation, Queer, Vietnamese American ceramicist originally from Dodge City, Kansas. A self-taught artist for five years, Kenny recently transitioned into working as a full-time ceramicist. Ken discovered ceramics in 2020 during the pandemic and fell in love with clay for its balance of control and unpredictability. Working primarily on the wheel, he creates functional pieces that explore form, texture, and the quiet beauty of imperfection. For him, clay is a grounding practice—one of self-discovery, resilience, and acceptance.
